Meet the Trainer
Dolores Paroda, a native of Uniontown, is a certified teacher with 12 years of teaching experience in the local Fayette County area schools. Her dog training career began over 10 years ago with her Cocker Spaniel, Lilee, at Mountaineer Kennel Club in Morgantown, West Virginia. Her strong desire to learn better training techniques led her to a successful career as the Agility Chair for Mountaineer Kennel Club. She has a strong background in agility and obedience training, as her dogs hold many advanced AKC obedience and agility titles. Her Cocker Spaniel, Lilee, is expected to complete her Agility Championship in the 2011 agility season. Paroda is also the obedience and agility trainer for the Fayette County 4H Dog club.
Dolores is able to apply her classroom teaching strategies and methods to her dog training instruction. She has broad experience training dogs using operant conditioning techniques and an extensive background in teaching Linda Mecklenburg’s Awesome Paws Handling System for agility training. She is an agility student of world team member, Donna Rohaus. Dolores’ greatest accomplishment is a successful student.
