vaccination requirements
The health and safety of our guests is our highest priority. Certification from a veterinarian is required for every pet before admittance into Wooflands Pet Resort & Spa. If your pet requires an updated vaccination, please make arrangements for the vaccination to be administered no less than 10 days before any service is scheduled. All pets must have current vaccinations for the following:
Rabies, Distemper/Parvo Virus, Bordetella, Canine Influenza*
*The Canine Influenza vaccine is not a requirement. However, we highly recommend that all dogs visiting us receive this vaccination. Please consult with your veterinarian to make the best decision for your beloved pet.
Rabies, FVRCP, FeLV
You may fax your pet’s vaccination records directly from your veterinarian’s office to us at 724.329.2015 or email them to [email protected].
Boarding Policies
For everyone’s safety, all pets entering and exiting Wooflands Pet Resort & Spa must be on a leash or in a carrier until directed otherwise.
Boarding Check-in
Check-in time is between 8am and 5pm, in order to allow housekeeping ample time to properly sanitize and prepare each suite for the next guest. We make every attempt to accommodate special requests for early arrivals. There is always a full charge for the first day of stay, regardless of check-in time. Please allow an extra 15 minutes in your schedule to ensure a completed boarding check-in document from a Wooflands associate or a grooming menu (if applicable) for each stay. If providing your own food, please prepare each serving in a separate baggy, and label it by meal. Include your pet's first and last name on each baggy. If medicating, please properly label each medication, and provide doctor’s instructions for the entire length of the stay.
Boarding Check-out
Check-out time is between 8am and 5pm, in order to allow housekeeping ample time to properly sanitize and prepare each suite for its next guest that afternoon. Pets not picked up by 5pm, will require additional care and will be charged a $20 late check-out fee, unless scheduled for a grooming or daycare service. For security purposes, proper photo identification may be required.
Wellness
The Wooflands Pet Resort & Spa staff is dedicated to the health and wellness of your pet. If your pet should require medical attention while in our care, our protocol is to contact our staff veterinarian. Should the nature of your pet’s illness require an office visit, we reserve the right to utilize our staff veterinarian. Our caring staff can administer any oral or topical medications your dog may require during their visit. Pets requiring vaccination updates must have the vaccination(s) administered no less than 10 days before check-in. Wooflands Pet Resort & Spa reserves the right to refuse admittance to any pet guest for any reason, at any time, who lacks proof of vaccinations, displays signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, demonstrates aggressive behavior, or who fails our standard health and temperament policies.
Special Needs & Medical Care
Nemacolin Wooflands recognizes that some of our animal guests may have special needs. We encourage our clients to discuss any special requirements with us when making a reservation, including, but not limited to: medications, supplements, special meal preparation, extra feeding times, daily brushing, puppy care, and senior care (additional charges may apply). Our caring staff can administer any oral or topical medications your dog may require during their visit. Rest assured that our veterinary clinic, Wooflands Veterinary Center, is right next door, offering veterinary services should any health issues arise while your pets are on vacation with us.
Belongings
Owners are welcome to bring a familiar blanket or toy from home. However, it is not necessary. Wooflands Pet Resort & Spa is a full-service establishment, providing all the necessary clean bedding and blankets to comfort your pet.
Dining
As recommended by our veterinarians, we feed a high-quality dry kibble. We do not provide canned food. You may choose to provide your own food at no additional charge, so long as each meal’s serving size is prepared in a separate baggy and labeled appropriately by meal with your pet’s first and last name on it. We feed three times daily, at approximately 8am, 12pm, and 5pm. Extraordinary preparations may be subject to a fee.
Visitation & Facility Tours
Our pet guests are on vacation too, and visitation during boarding is allowed for owners. You are welcome to visit our boarding facility during operating hours.
Cancellations
We request owners to make any boarding cancellations at least three days prior to their arrival date. We request a 24-hour notice of cancellation for daycare services, so that we may reschedule without charging for missed appointments.
