What Is an Emergency Veterinary Service?
Emergency veterinary services include any care administered when a pet’s life is in danger, or they are in critical condition. Examples of emergency veterinary issues include an obstructed airway, unresponsiveness, convulsions, and many other possibilities. If you are unsure if your pet is experiencing an emergency, the best thing to do is call us ASAP at 724.329.2838, so we can assess the situation — and, if necessary, get you and your pet to Wooflands Veterinary Center right away.
Receiving medical attention as soon as possible is your pet’s best chance at a full recovery. Our veterinarians have performed thousands of successful emergency pet operations. They are experts at working quickly and remaining calm in stressful situations.
Same-Day Emergency Vet Appointments
If your pet is experiencing a time-sensitive emergency, we will do our best to see them as soon as possible. If you determine that your pet requires emergency care, we ask that you call us at 724.329.2838 before you arrive. This will help us prepare for your visit and have a room ready for your pet when you arrive, if possible. During your pet’s emergency visit, we will assess their situation and determine if same-day care is necessary. After that, we will treat your pet’s issues accordingly.
What if it's Not An Emergency?
We are also available for appointments when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen. Call the office at 724.329.2838 to schedule an appointment.
