Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation at
the Wooflands veterinary center

Rehabilitation therapy is a long-term process to address orthopedic injuries, neurologic dysfunction, chronic osteoarthritis, geriatric concerns, and performance difficulties. Whether your pet needs assistance in recuperating from trauma, surgery, degenerative joint disease, or chronic pain, Wooflands Veterinary Center can provide an individualized treatment plan based on their needs.

The services offered are geared to maximize function, reduce pain and inflammation, and slow the progression of orthopedic and neuromuscular disease.

our rehabilitation services

Hydro-Treadmill Therapy

An underwater treadmill provides resistance while decreasing gravity to strengthen the limbs. It can be used to treat many musculoskeletal conditions, providing a safe, controlled environment for gait analysis, exercise, and muscle building.

Class IV Laser Therapy (Also Known as Cold Laser
or Low-Level Laser)

Our Class IV laser therapy uses infrared light energy to stimulate healing and decrease inflammation at the cellular level. The laser allows for fast pain relief and improved healing times for everything from minor injuries and surgical incisions to major trauma.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage and exercise can be used to preserve range of motion and muscle mass, as well as to promote tissue healing during recovery. Some of our tools and techniques include Theraband limb work, exercise balls, proprioception equipment,
and therapeutic clothing.

Canine Pain Management

We offer complete patient assessments, short- and long-term analgesia planning, and other integrative therapies.

Aquatic Bioelectric Therapy

Aquatic Bioelectric Therapy uses the natural properties of water (buoyancy, resistance, and heat) to reduce recovery time by up
to 50-60% and improve performance. This treatment also uses electro-medical therapy, which stimulates muscles to contract and strengthen. This combination provides a dramatic reduction in pain and healing time.
